Terms Limits are necessary because the last person we should trusting with power is anyone who is dying to have it…

Whereas, the best person to be trusted with power is someone who is reluctant to use it, or finds it unnecessary as a prerequisite to live a full life.

Paradoxically, this is the very person we need to trust with the exercise of power, because they are the ones who will exercise it honestly, well, and only for a while — seeing it as their civic duty.

And that is how we can all benefit through the frequent rotation of power.

Of course that is also why, term limits, should be instituted, for all positions of Power just as it is for the President of these United States.

We ought to do this, even if only in order to make it impossible for those who wish to gain power, from having a whole career in politics.

We must institute Term Limits in order to deprive those who have the will to POWER, for their own selfish reasons, because they can be counted to be or become CORRUPT.

And because as we all recall — power corrupts.
